Art Gallery sourcing in Chicago

I'm in Chicago checking out galleries and speaking with a few gallery owners about possible representation in the Windy City. This is my first time in the city and I am surprised at how inspired I am here. It's a very clean, safe-feeling city (in the downtown area where I'm staying, I've heard there are other spots in the city to avoid). The skyline at night with reflections in the Chicago river is drop dead gorgeous. Heading out to the galleries now and the Art Institute. Cheers!

New Abstract painting: Back in Time

This is the most recent abstract painting I finished. Inspired by photos from the Hubble Deep Space Telescope. I've attempted to capture the colors and mystery of the distant cosmos. I hope you enjoy. -JH

New Aspen Painting

I've been a bit lax lately with posting. Sorry about that! Busy busy, but starting to settle a bit. I just finished a new Aspen painting, 50" x 58", acrylic on canvas. I think it turned out well. It's a scene from a photo I took in the Sangre de Cristo mountains of New Mexico above Santa Fe during the autumn aspen color change. I hope you enjoy it! -JH
